Edward Gilson Jr. has been practicing law in Pennsylvania since 1977. Ed graduated from St. Joseph’s University in 1974 with a major in international relations. He received his juris doctorate from Villanova University School of Law in 1977.

After graduation from law school, Ed started his legal career working with his father, the late Edward J. Gilson, Sr. The father and son team maintained a law practice located in Center City, Philadelphia.

After Mr. Gilson Sr.’s death in 1986, Ed took over the practice as a sole practitioner. As business grew, Ed moved his law practice in 1992 to the Smylie Times Building located in northeast Philadelphia. Following in his father’s footsteps, Ed specialized in estate planning for individuals and families, as well as focusing on probate matters, taxation, and orphans’ court litigation.

In 2016, Ed once again moved his practice, this time just across the city limits to Trevose, PA. His new office is now conveniently located near all major access points, including the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Turnpikes, I-95, Route 1, and Street Road.

Ed is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Philadelphia Bar Association, and Bucks County Bar Association. He is frequently invited to speak on the subject of estate planning at local police, paralegal, and attorney organizations.
